Where I Go When I Need A Dose Of Happy!

Is there anyone out there that doesn't know about Absolutely Beautiful Things, the blog written by Australian designer Anna Spiro?

When I am looking for a big dose of happy inspiration, this is one of the first spots I visit.

This week Anna posted a photo of her grandmother Ellie, who had stopped by the shop Black & Spiro. Look how chic she is; I want to dress like this when I'm a grandmother. Heck, I wouldn't mind wearing a dress like this now!

It is always a pleasure to see what is being displayed in the shop window...

...and her beautiful and simple flowers. Just pure loveliness.

Thanks for the inspiration Anna!

22 Comments, now I'd love to hear what you think!:

Janell, she doesn't blog a ton, but I always poke around her website when I need some new ideas. Her stuff is fabulous...is it crazy for one decorator to want to hire another?! I'd love to just soak up some of her brain function....Her store in town is pure eye candy too. I could amost give up chocolate to fill my house with all those visual treats!

How great does her grandmother look?! I would love a dress like that, too! That store looks like a great place to shop - I could probably spend a lot of time there. :)

I love to visit her blog for inspiration. I blogged about that fabric she's got in the window a while ago and I love seeing it actually in use! My husband is from Brisbane and I've already told him he needs to take me to her shop when we are there at the end of the year (I am too scared to drive myself over there!)

I love the fabric that is hanging behind the flowers in the window. So clever!

I am so with you on Anna's blog. Her desing aesthetic is exactly what I love. A dose of Fresh spring colors with a good dose of black and white thrown in for good measure and the blue and white porcelain are always a staple in her designs.Love that!! KS
