Today I'm at Style For Living, participating in Marianne's series, the ABC's of Me.

Then, while at the beach, I was intrigued with a small boat that had washed up to shore. In all the years visiting this beach, I've never seen anything quite like it.
Loved the colors and worn paint.
And though it wouldn't get you far in terms of transportation...
...I thought it made for an interesting setting for a photo.
Until a wave reached it, moving it towards the surf. {Taking me by surprise.}
Okay, perhaps not the best idea.
{Good thing the kids weren't around...}

18 Comments, now I'd love to hear what you think!:
I'll be heading over to Style for Living to check out your ABCs. What a great beach find. So glad you didn't float away!
What a neat boat!
It's 90+ degrees here & you're in long sleeves. Unbelievable!
You're pictures of the boat are pretty enough to frame. Don't you wish you knew the story of the boat & how it got there?
It's Oregon! And we certainly haven't had much of a summer in terms of heat, I actually need a bit more to soak up, to get me through the upcoming long gray winter! Janell
My mind was racing with ideas of whose boat it was and where they are now....?! I love Marianne!!!

Can you take the boat home? You look cute on it. The wood be great for so many projects.
Thanks again for being my guest today! Glad to see you got to the beach to enjoy our few days of summer! Wish the sunshine would come back!
Wow, Janell. Just catching up on old posts. Really interesting about that Pottery Barn room. Talk about using your room for inspiration...even the colors were the same! All I could say when I saw it was "WOW!"
I know in the creative world we are ALWAYS inspired by the things that we see. And when we publish our own creations online, we realize that people may want to replicate them, but it really surprised me how direct they were in their "interpretation".
That said, I do think you should be flattered. I mean, Max's room is FABULOUS. I've loved it since I first saw it. I've said it before and I'll say it again...You are one TALENTED lady!

Janell - Seriously, I cannot believe you didn't figure out a way to tote that thing home. Ha! I would have! Much to my sweet husband's demise!
I want to take that boat home and hang it upside down from the ceiling! LOVE!
